LAINY: Man   Dogs   Woman

Humor…Mystery…1 Train Wreck…3 Romances…5 Dogs…  Ruff!

LAINY, our first novel, was based on a story written by octogenarian friend Hertha Grimes, who is quite a romanticist and a story teller.  LAINY is a romantic adventure about Lainy O’Malley, a young Irish girl who travels from New York to escape her unhappy existence.  She finds her way to Estes Park, Colorado, but not before meeting her dream man, Paul, on the train trip west.

The train derails during a violent storm, and he is seriously injured.  She uses all her faculties to save him, but in the aftermath they are separated.  Now he is consumed with learning who she is and meeting her once again.

Due to his injuries, he is unable to travel alone, so he enlists the aid of a new friend, Jack, to find her.  Together, the two men endure some hilarious adventures and sad missteps.

They locate her in Estes Park, Colorado, near Rocky Mountain National Park.  The trail leads them through Fort Collins and eventually to Loveland, Colorado, a city that lives up to its name.  Lainy, in the meantime, has found friends in two strong women and three large dogs, and has grown in self-confidence.  Paul may just find that locating Lainy will be the least of his problems.
